The Online Drawing Course for children aged 6+ at Better Academy combines:

Course Structure

Stage 1 – Drawing Foundations (4 lessons)

Children learn:

  • basic shapes and proportions,
  • drawing the eye and the apple,
  • light and shadow,
  • first sketches from observation and imagination,
  • first pastel techniques.

Outcome after Stage 1:
 Children create their first realistic drawings — and feel genuinely proud of them.

Stage 2 – Little Artist Programme (10 lessons)

Programme includes:

  • characters and facial expressions,
  • animals, plants and landscapes,
  • light and colour,
  • simple perspective,
  • drawing from imagination,
  • drawing from observation,
  • final project and art portfolio.

Outcome:
 The child creates their first collection of artworks — a portfolio that forms a foundation for further artistic education (architecture, illustration, painting).

Materials for the Course

After registration, parents receive a detailed shopping list.
The materials are simple and affordable:

  • A4 sketchbook.
  • soft pencils (B–6B),
  • kneaded eraser,
  • dry pastel crayons,

How Do the Online Classes Work?

Lessons last 60 minutes and are taught live online.

Each class includes:

  • a creative warm-up and mindful start,
  • step-by-step instruction,
  • guided drawing together,
  • individual feedback from the teacher,
  • discussion of results,
  • sending photos of artworks to the child’s portfolio.
